I just spent a half hour looking for the link again but there was a post saying that Stats were allocated automatically and you have no control over it.
If this is true, and it looks legit, then fuck DIII. First they change the skill tree system that wasn't broken, second they don't even let you distribute your own attributes point. Total horseshit!

If this is confirmed true, I'm not buying World of Diablo.

It seems all Blizzard wants to do is take what everyone loved about D2 and trash it.

People are going to be good because they spent a lot of time playing, not because they know they're doing.
The gap between the Noobs and the Pro's is disappearing because Blizzard wants to play the fair mommy card.

Well, DIII officially sucked 2 years ago, and if this doesn't change, it still sucks.

It will take away the effort of "theory crafting" by finding the best stat distribution... Now they only need to figure out the best skill placement for your typical cookie cutter build.

It's taking nothing away from you, other then you spending time or someone else spending time to use spread sheets and math to find a simple "best" placement... And that wouldn't happen until blizz released all the items, etc. This way.. I think is best. Oh well, I won't miss over analyzing where to stick stats and crap.

Also, it will save time from you looking at one site, seeing another and they both be different. Which one is is correct, or more correct? blah blah blah.

Are you kidding? As if Diablo 2 had unique stat allocation anyway. Every build went something like this: enough points into strength to wear final gear and the rest of the points into vitality. The only exception to this was if you wanted max block or if you were a Sorceress, in which you would just add points into dexterity for the shield you want to use or add points into energy instead of vitality, respectively. If anything, automatic stat allocation will make those who are simply better at it shine even more, as everyone will have the same stats and equal opportunity.

It does take the uniqueness of builds away, though.
