Gold definitely.

When I first started playing D2, trading with lots of smaller items (gems, runes, Sojs, charms, etc., a lot of which were duped, and thus had a chance to poof) was OK, but after a while, it started to get annoying, and that was around the time I started using jsp. If D3 has a proper trading economy, with gold actually being worth something, then I'm sure I'll enjoy trading even more.

The only downside I can think of is that it will promote gold farming, but I certainly won't be doing that anyway. I'd rather hunt for nice items instead, and any gold I happen to get from doing that, I can use. Not that gold farming is that much different from MFing anyway. The only difference is that you're guaranteed a return, whereas with MFing it's just your luck.

hey. cool, inetresting point. but check, there will always be d2jsp. and everybody here is ganan stay here from d2 to d3. the site is ganna skyrocket in users ocne d3 is released. FG will be ur source of 'gold trading'. i think ingame gold will only get u really basic items if u traded for them, like gems or essence or stuff liek that. since the percentage of gold dropping is high, the value of it will still be very low. people just have to decide to hang on to it once it falls. rather than leave it there like in d2. for sure theres going to be gold farming, and for sure the price of gold is ganna go up tonnes from d2. but i highly reject the idea of it holding any mediocre value. the main focus i think for blizzard will still be on items, and the value of items holding the economy up.
