yeah, all poison based, if the bvc with widow isnt poison based, then hes gonna get stomped. cause i could literally tank several ww's with my 5.9k mana pool es.
with only 1.3k life tho.. poison was nasty.

but i was just giving examples. theres about 50 other builds that it would stomp.

THorn's convert was strictly for killin people and getting their gear, I mean killing people is nice but those types of chars were strictly to get something you wanted.
And in classic I was glad when pike barbs thought they could step to my S/S barb. I would just fucking obliterate them. I had all types of pkers, and also chars just for dueling and killing pkers that wanted to try me, I had the same pike barb with iceblink, or level 12 charger with bone snap etc etc. See you have the pking spirit when did you lose it? A true pker will get it any way they can.

Death is inevitable in hardcore, which is why I love hardcore and would never play any other way.

Notice how they patched it quick, cause even blizzard doesn't want people getting kills in such a pussy way. It's demeaning even for them to allow it.

and what is this, a true pker, true hc, bs? You sound like a moron everytime you say that. There is no "True Pker" "True HC" and even if there was, who are you to even define it? I would say a pker with some honor, who could actually defend his power in a fair fight, is deserving of far more respect. I respect real duelers and pkers who use skill to defeat their enemies, not lame exploits and cheap tricks.

I don't follow the bnet forums but do you think the idea of ladder without AH and non ladder with was ever even brought up? Because I personally think this could satisfy everyone

nothing wrong with desync, learn how to work around it. V/T duels sometimes got interesting with desync. also, V/T is the true versatile pvp character you can make, aside from BvC.

no men open wounds mainly, psn is just a bonus also forgot bow ama and bow/psn hybrid ama n them bone necs that get lots of revived so many builds...


es sorc was fun but not really great for dueling..

true the OW as well, its been a while..

nothing wrong with desynch? you're just exploiting the games inability to keep track of your character. Killing someone when you're invisible and they have no way of attacking you barring trying to figure out where you're gonna randomly pop up does not feel like skill imo. And yes, I could kill them, but it was just an annoying duel. Mostly I used my wind druid vs lame desynch hdins and chargers.

of course skill > itens in D2's PvP!!

I never spent 1 cent buying itens in D2 and with average gear in a trapsin (hoto and spirit!!!), I could pk a LOT of good players with diferent builds and nice gear!

if a newbie bought an entire char and would duel me I could pwn him because the itens didnt matter if he doest know the strategy in dueling

and I agree with bankai that D2's end game was making a nice char to DUEL!!! at least 100% of my friends were pvpers and there was a LARGE community of dueling in D2 (channels, d2pk, open bnet (even hacking dueling was fun)

ofc there is ppl who just farm, but this is what D2's was about: freedom! you could farm with mf gear (you had a set in your stash or the famous mf sorcy), you could do ubers, you could duel, you could pk, you could lvl, you could rush, you could trade...

if u wanna duel, go ahead, just hostile the player
if u wanna farm, there is plenty of runs (meph, pindle, andy, baal, diablo, countess, etc) you could do
if you wanna level up... well ok... there was only baal or chaos, but most ppl dont mind about this, because it was fast and objective and you could measure well your timing by the number of games you joined, etc... my opinion
if you wanna trade, just make a game or join one
if you wanna do ubers, a 100% guarantee annihilus / torch will drop! and you knew that, and even so, it was always fun to ID it hoping for a P one

well anyway, D2 was a successfull game because it have a LOT of choices of gameplay and every one was good, fun and rewarding

and about D3...

game is shit. period.
