something being a trophy is all about the person who owns it, and whether or not they consider it a trophy.

to me, this is a trophy, greatly helps my monk, and just because it didn't roll ancient does not take away the value of how much this item helps me.

It's not really subjective and as arbitrary as you think. It's second grade math actually.. Your non-ancient helm could have 750 vit, which is substantially more beneficial than 15% life. Also, it could've been ancient with 1000 dex and 1000 vit. Your helm is random.
