WKL + shard is the best AoE

TF is a good temp
odyns is a pile of shit next to every other "super" weapon

How do u determine whether the spell is high proc coeff or low one? I'm a lightning whirlwind barb.

actually TF proc doesn't benefit from +% lightning dmg bonus. SoH does. I have all three weapons on a lightning monk.

What was your testing method. Just curious.

took very similar items with no lightning dmg but rest of the stats are the same. TF hits the same. SoH hits weaker.

also, as someone else explained it to me before I even got my SoH. SoH triggers use of a skill Charged Bolt. that's why that skill gets the bonus. same as Odyn Chain Lightning. Thunderfury only procs lightning damage for exact number it says on the weapon.

"Chance on hit to blast your enemy with Lightning, dealing 279–372% weapon damage as Lightning and then jumping to additional nearby enemies."

Basically, it's just lightning damage that jumps to more enemies than the first one it hit. Yeah, they could have done it on purpose, but it might be just that they didn't think it would suck so much compared to SoH. the only thin it's better for is clearing trash when doing bounties (IMO)

BTW, the info on the page I linked has Odyn listed as one that doesn't scale, but it actually does. Few people reported that in comments.

Mind explaining why odyn is good for skill with low proc?

Odyn is good for every lightning spec because:

- It's a mace, so it's a "slow" weapon (1.2 speed). It means higher damage on spells/procs (scaling with weapon damage), and better ratio damage/ressource spent. Better placed in Main Hand.

- Odyn's proc is good. It's chain lightning doing 400% weapon damage and can bounce back x 3 on the same target if no others are present = 1200% weapon damage single target.

- Up to 20%lightning damage with the affix. Always good to have.

For a ww lightning barb best weapons are Odyn + TF.

It's a spirit starver and it's shit for loh and life on spirit spent
Definitely not worth the proc
