How well a computer plays games is almost entirely dependent on the graphics card. If you really want a tablet you would probably be better off getting a desktop for gaming and a cheaper tablet for other stuff. 2 grand would get you a decent tablet and a desktop that could easily max d3 and every game currently out.

I think the minimum system requirements will be 2GHz CPU, 2GB RAM, 128MB VRAM and the recommended system requirements will be 2GHz (dual-core) CPU, 4GB RAM, 256MB VRAM.
The RAM will be the most important component becuase Windows Vista or Windows 7 are gluttonous. If you're running Windows XP I think you can get away with 1GB RAM. Also, 128MB VRAM seems weak but if you're running Diablo III at 1024x768 resolution with graphics settings on low I think it'll be fine.

After doing a bit of research I've noticed that Diablo III doesn't require Direct X 10. Based on this information the system requirements won't be very high at all, I think my estimates will be pretty close.

Anyway, I think if you've bought a pre-assembled or custom-made computer within the last 3 years it'll be able to run Diablo III.

prob. wont be to bad, they will want everyone to be able to play it, even those who can't afford a crazy ass gaming computer for like 6k. they will prob require xp, mac os, or higher don't worry im sure you wont have to buy a ridiculously expensive comp. =P

Blizzard is big on their games being able to be sold to ANYONE, i would guess they will release 3 sets of requirements, minimal, recomended, and best/max

with windows 7 needing 2gb of ram to run smooth, and it becoming more of a norm, i wouldnt be shocked to see a recomended system RAM of 2gb for d3
i wouldnt be in the least surprised to see a minimum of a 2.5ghz single core/1.6ghz+ dual core
i would bet that the graphics on the lowest settings will run on chipsets and shared graphics, so 128 is a probable minimum


best i would think a 3ghz single/2.5-2.7ghz dual, 512mb Graphics, probably 4650+/9800gs+ and 3-4 recomended for system RAM
