The monk is like the WoW rogue and d2 assassin, blizz has already said this, so the likelihood of another character being combo based is very slim IMO. The general consensus of a physical ranged attacker is a little presumptuous, not saying I dont want to play a hunter, but you just can never tell with Blizzard, like, really how many people guessed the Monk would be a class....very few. I'm betting it will be another blind side, something less than 10% of the community will guess.
Also I think the monk looks pretty fun to play, although I will most likely roll a barb, as that was my fav class in D2.

i suspected the monk and the rogue/amazon class for a while now.
if you're into the development of d3 at all (which i suspect you are, hence the forums) you should have known they were coming.
argue all you want, or just wait and see when i'm right about the 5th class.
although i will admit i thought this "assassin" would come out before the monk because the monk is in less games and i think they would like it to be a surprise finisher for the released game.
