ive injured my shoulder so bad ive been out for like 2 months 3 weeks now? something around that stupid long time

had light shoulder pain come and go over past 2 years, but this is the worst so far. pain went up behind my neck and ear from shoulder before. and i would feel ALOT of shoulder pain by turning steering wheel of car, or even zipping a zip lock bag hurt alot.

went to see orthopedic who was a dick. he rushed me through visit and scheduled an MRI. would cost me around 900 bucks. so since the MRI would be nice im still trying my best to wait it out and hope to not need it... but im really considering it. although i feel the doc would just then tell me one of two things.
1) surgery
2) rehab

so ive taken the time to do my own rehab i guess. prob not the best but better than nothing

shoulder no longer feels too much pain while just moving it, but it hurts throughout the day very dull ache

ive been icing ALOT, on for 20 min, off for 40 to 60 min

ive also been doing scapular rehab stuff. trying to help strengthen the area. sorta helping, but its still in a very weird pain... idk what else to do

making very very slow progress it feels like ive stalled... now what?

edit:
also the doc seemed to have immediately thought its my AC joint. because i said i lifted weights...

but i think it might be that, but ALSO my scapula slides and grinds, like if i put my hand behind my back on my scapula and i move my arm i can feel shit popping sorta and grinding/sliding. my other side thats fine, i dont feel any of this with that side of scapula. i think its scapular instability? but seems extreme if shits moving like that?

Gotten many MRI's everytime the results have been inconclusive/not showed anything, chiropractor is your best bet, see him once a month and follow his stretches.

If you aren't having swelling, then icing isn't going to help you. If it's not swelling, heat is the better option.

Some stretches for overall shoulder strength / integrity / health seem very applicable to your situation.

Damn, really sucks to hear. Hope you can go back to lifting pain free within half a year or so.

but the pain i thought is from inflammation which i thought ice would help? still heat?

then again i do hear ice is only good soon after injury not later on. but i feel like its a new injury every day due to moving my shoulder or whatever and thats causing inflammation to reoccur?

Maybe you should get the MRI to get an idea of what is actually wrong, then attempt some DIY-Rehabs
