What is the cumulative dollar value of everything that you have had stolen from you throughout your life? This includes everything: stolen cash, vandalized car, home burglary, identity theft, etc.

I'm probably around the $1,000 mark. I remember being devastated when I had $70 stolen from my wallet in high school.

All I can remember is a used Ipod nano and a nike hat.

So 50 bucks?

does it include money wasted on shitty supplements when we were noobs? and money lost playing games via opportunity cost? if so, 10k++

Mmm... just accounting for me, maybe less than a hundred bucks? Had a couple of bikes stolen when I was a teenager. Had my car stolen when I was in my 20's, but the car was recoverd. Mostly, the crackheads took small sh!t (cassette tapes, the car battery [wtfux??].)

My wife, however, had her car broken in to, last October or thereabouts. GPS, and a gym bag full of fight gear (gloves, wraps, mouthguard, etc.)

Between the two of us, it's been less than $500.

I honestly don't think I've had anything stolen from me... Insurance covered the cost of my window being broken last week.

The only thing I can think of is being in my best mates house with a lot of friends a few years ago. His sister was there with her friends too. I had my iPod (80gb 5th gen) in my bag that I left down somewhere. A couple of hours later I went to get it out of my bag and it wasn't there. I said 4-5 people to check the bag too, just to verify that I wasn't going mad. I knew it was none of my friends, which only left his sisters friends. I questioned everyone, and eventually it got to the stage where I was gonna drag one guy outside. So it's a pretty heated situation, I'm about to go for this guy and my friends sister comes in with my bag and says: "mick you fucking idiot, it was in your bag the whole time...", I just looked at her and said (in front of my friend): "Jenny, get the fuck out of here you stupid cunt, 5 people checked that bag and it wasn't in it....".
Turns out that in the moment, the guy who took it knew I wasn't gonna let it go easy and replaced it so there'd be no trouble. Later found out that the guy who took it was the same guy who came to me afterwards with a free bottle of wine saying: "fucking scumbags man, sorry somebody took your iPod, at least you got it back...".

Anyway, was just happy to get it back.

Oh, had my bike stolen when I was younger but saw a guy cycling it past my house a few hours later, got that back too

I really haven't had anything stolen. Just a couple Ninja Turtles when I was a kid. Backflipping Raphael and a Master Splinter. Sad day

Personally, not very much. But my dad just got robbed of $50,000 a few months ago.
