Having correct form off the floor pretty much just removes bicep tears. "Correct form," is hard to judge (for people on this site) because they often mistaken thoracic rounding for lumbar. I think that to be pretty unlikely. Almost everybody is usually stronger from half RoM upwards in DL (and in pretty much everything).
