I bike a lot in the summers and I'm starting again but I want to know if it will raise my lung capacity since i never really thought about it before. At the moment my capacity is a lot lower then it used to be. I know swimming and running are good for raising but i don't like either of those. Gimmi thoughts.

i would think so. Not as much as swimming or running though. Seeing as you use less breathing if that makes sense haha. More energy is put into swimming and running is what im trying to say.

It depends on how hard you exert yourself in any of these activities.

I usually hill bike 3 miles and my heart rate gets fairly high for some parts of the ride.

biking is good :\

i ride 5 miles to work every morning and its mostly all uphill (although im riding my old dirtjump bike which is fucking hard work) and my heart rate does get pretty high on some of the longer climbs. its good fun excersize and a great way of transport, especially through traffic thats stood still and you're just flying through everything.


start again, its good excersize and more enjoyable than running or swimming imo.

I agree one hundred percent with that last part. Haha I hill bike with a mountain bike which is kind of like your situation but my bikes not too old. Oh and i also never change my gears cause it's more fun too me.
