Hey,

Do you happen to know what causes these small white spots in your nails? It's weird because I often have it. Used to think it was a lack of calcium, but that's quite impossible.

Thanks :)

This is called Leukonychia. There are many types of it...but some of the causes include:

1. Damage to the fingers and nailbeds (usually from sports)
2. Liver Failure or Disease
3. Kidney Failure or Disease
4. Certain Antibiotics
5. Protein Synthesis Dysfunction
6. Certain types of Poisoning (lead, arsenic, and others)
7. Nail Biting
8. Chemo (Cancer Treatment)

there are other causes as well.....if you think one of these might be you...it would explain it.

either way, I'd advise seeing a doctor and getting a full blood panel done to analyze everything properly.

Hey raynor I hate to ask a question thats been asked a million times

But could you link me to a thread that gives me good dorm-room bulking foods? By that I mean food that requires no heating and most of my meals will be out of a plastic bowl or shake cup.

Thanks a lot for your home gym guide, it will be my new routine :)

I have a question tho thats sparked a heated debate with my friends group

To stretch or not to stretch?

Some people say not to stretch before you lift because its loosens your muscles... Is that such a bad thing? Any merit to this?

Stretch during your workout / between sets,, but why am I doing this?

Thanks!

Stretching BEFORE lifting is not such a good idea. Most studies show it does not prevent injury and can sometimes contribute to injuries.

Stretching during and after exercise is much better because the muscles, ligaments, and tendons are already warm and supple after the first few minutes of exercise - thus stretching is easier and less likely to cause injury. It also helps keep your range of motion good when you stretch between sets.

Here are TWO cutting diets. I recommend the Anabolic Cutting diet...

You have to isolate them. To do this, try using a lat pulldown machine....and grab the handles as wide as possible and also on a slight angle.

Use light weight at first to get proper form. You want a slight arch in your back and to pull the bar all the way to your upper pectorals. Feel the squeeze and pump in the lats. As you get proficient with form, graduate to heavier weight. The wider the grip, the more the lats.

You can also try doing neutral grip pullups which can SOMETIMES help.
