i've been snacking on raw sweet potato 'fries' lately (washed sweet potatoes cut into slices)...i was wondering if there would be any downside to this as i haven't really heard much about eating raw potatoes

cooked potatoes contain additional nutrients that raw do not.

This is because the cooking process forces the cell walls to burst and thus release an additional stream of nutrients for your consumption. This does not happen during normal digestion and can thus lead to stomach aches from eating too much raw potato.

i definitely did not know that

i assumed that they would lose nutrients like some other vegetables supposedly do through the cooking process

i have never gotten a stomach ache, but i will keep that in mind...any idea what nutrients i would be missing out on? (the main reason i do it anyway is for an easy increase in my carbohydrate intake)

I've got a problem, and my last two workouts were essentially ruined as a result of it.

After about 10-15 minutes into working out, i got a sudden massive throbbing pain in the back of my head, right above my neck and slightly to the right

i had to sit down and remain calm for a solid 5 minutes before the pain dissipated and as soon as i picked up the weights again, it came back

it rendered my last two workouts useless, any idea on wtf could be wrong with me or suggestions on what to do?

thnx brah.

Buy a bodyfat caliper and use it.

It basically pinches fat in specific areas of the body, measures it, and then you can calculate from there.

sounds like a pinched nerve.

Please see a chiropractor and take at least 1 solid week of rest from the gym before going back.

The plan looks good...but you need to reverse the Light biceps and Light triceps. Train biceps with chest and triceps with back in order to give each muscle group the proper attention without overtraining.

As far as mass gainer goes, I already recommended cytogainer for you and that should really help =)

edit: seperate forearm attention is only needed if you are lacking in that area

thank youuuuuuuuuu

omg grats on 5k posts, i'm 41 posts late T_T
i'm going to store to get cytosport in like 15days because i like saving 20% off :)
and i read your other post about 15% bf then start cutting, last time i checked i was 8.47% bf (this was when i was 135lbs) think i gained a lot more bf since then? idk if my school would do a bf test just for me, but i'll ask friday!

btw thanks man, you've always been a great help

e/ do you think negative rep concentration curls w/ slow tempo like: 4:0:2 would help my biceps grow?
its been a long time since ive felt that sore after arm day and i want to feel like i'm getting work done :(
i can literally do like 10 differnt bicep excersize w/ 3-4sets each and still not feel sore the next day

i usually do 8-10reps and 3-4sets, about 5-6 dif excersizes just for biceps

also, would a tricep superset help gain volume or just strength? i'm looking for volume workouts for my arms :):):):)
ok i'll gtfo of here because i'm asking too many questions!

hey there....you can work on negative bicep curls....go moderately heavy and THROW the weight up to your shoulders fast....then let it down as SLOW as possible for a count of 10. then throw it back up and let it down really slow for a count of 10 again. This will force stubborn biceps to grow! Do 4-5 sets of this with every bicep workout of at least 8-12 reps
