Gotta give us examples man... Otherwise it just sounds like you're crazy and hearing voices.

Best I can describe it is that nervous feeling you get before you have to present something in front of a big group of people. But I've been having that all the time... Like at my house by myself.. In class.. Work.. Etc.

Also have paranoid feelings like someone is going to take my freedom away and I'll be in a cell

what he put u on anxiety meds? did they work

They wanted to put me on meds and send me to a therapist for the depression but i told them no, i'l figure this shit out on my own. Slowly getting better.

Big part of why i took up crossfit so fast, completely exhausting your body 3 times a day really helped keep my mind off shit.

I wrote up a near dissertation on so.eone in HnFs anxiety thread. Maybe they know where it is.

This seems new to you so its going to be tough to grasp and you might not be fed up enough to get to this point but:

General Anxiety is a fear of fear. This may be hard to understand because you are searching for a reason. You are trying to pinpoint the source of the irrational fear.
You are fearing the feeling of being overwhelmed. You are not sure why you have a fear because you're just worried that this incredible feeling of fear is going to cripple you.
It makes you feel small and it helpless.

I've dealt with this myself. It went on until I put my foot down.

Anxiety and the chemicals involved is generally controlled by the amygdala. This is like a thermostat. As your body requests more or less, it operates more or less producing respective chemicals. If you let anxiety control what you do, you are literally programming the amygdala the respond the way it does.
You have to understand that YOU control this mechanism. I can prove it to you.

I'm afraid of snakes. You are not. Why do we respond differently around them? I conciously decide to enter "Oh crap" mode when I see a snake. We both know the dangers or lack there of. We both chose how to respond. When I chose oh crap mode, I am fueling my body and brain with the behavior that tells my nervous system to respond accordingly. I am essentially telling my body that it is time to go in to addrenaline mode so I can overcome this.

Over time your brain learns and is programmed to react as it has in the past. You can see this in every day life in many activities or every activity/interaction.

The very first time you sneezed you were probably like holy crap what was that. As you experienced them more and more, you could recognize the situation and you knew it was coming. You could also prepare for it properly.

You need to be able to recognize when you are about to choose to go in to oh crap mode and very literally choose not to.
This is going to be tough because you don't realize that you have a choice. Its almost as if it feels good to start freaking yourself out because it feels appropriate. Your fulfilling what you believe to be a need by trying to rationalize and think your way out of a "bad situation" .

The hard part is realizing there is no reason to pump yourself up and that you ultimately control your anxiety level.

The challenege is the fix. Sure fire. No fail fix.

Next time you start to feel anxious, make it as bad as it can be. Go to a place where you can be alone if you need to and FORCE IT. Cripple yourself with fear... or try to. This is going to take some courage. But I promise you once you attempt this you will realize all you need to know. You will learn that you are truly in control of the bodys response and anxiety levels. You will learn that YOU are the one fueling the fire very literally. And most important of all you will realize that literally nothing is going to happen to you. You are not going to spontaneously combust. You are not going to have a heart attack. You are going to exist just as you were in the same realm as when you were not feeling anxiety. You were fine twenty minutes ago and you will be fine twenty minutes from now.

That's the hardest part. Confronting your anxiety head on is going to be a challenege but thars what it will take to overcome and believe in you're heart what I know.
Make it as bad as you can make it. You may end up laughing because nothing is happening to you. You are in control.

The next step you can take or leave but I feel is essential. That is giving your anxieties to God. If you believe jesus christ died for your sins so that you may have eternal life, then you should fear nothing. What on this earth in your mortal life can harm you so bad that you will be seperated from the Lord your savior? Nothing. Pray to God in jesus' name to take the anxiety from your shoulders and literally give it to Him. Its biblical. I dare you to googlr Phillipians 4:6-8 and Mathew 6:31-34. God is requesting that you ask Him to handle it. Trust with your heart and He will.

I hope I didn't type all this on my phone for nothing.
Your brain learns by habits that you choose. You are in control.
Make it as bad as you can and you will see that you control the thermostat.
Give it to God. Without Him, you actually do have a reason to be fearful.

E) I don't care what anyone says. You do not have a dissorder. You are not crazy. You are not and will not just snap and be crazy. You do not need any medication. Medication masks the symptoms and you can still produce anxiousness while on them. You are fearingthe sensation of fear. Face it head on and become victorious.
I dare you to make it as bad as you can. Yell it out "come on!". Do whatever you have to do but I KNOW you will walk away laughing.

drugs are bad, mkay

e/ honestly i went 16 years without any problems like anxiety, then i started blowing adderall all the time, and ever since then i've gotten them.. they dont come often but when they do its the worst most helpless feeling i've ever endured.

not sure if the kid that mentioned adderall earlier was srs, but i honestly believe that was the cause of my problem.

I already figured this exact same thing out by myself after many anxiety attacks, the praying part is very important even if you're not religious.

I cannot shake total anxiety because I also have depersonalization so I can get really awful head pains and reality trips but doing those things manages what I can manage.

Weed made me wake up with depersonalization and gave me my first anxiety attack. I live in the worst possible place to buy weed according to weed magazines.

Weed will either help with anxiety or if you're me it will give you anxiety and D.P and other awful things. Weed ruined my life for 2 and half years.

So, what you're saying can go both ways, some people aren't built to smoke weed. My suggestion is don't take the risk, I don't want anyone to experience what I did. You'll be bed ridden for a couple years, have fun with that.
