Why do you meditate?

How does it make you feel? How long did it take you to meditate "correctly"... have you ever experienced hallucinations?

I meditate. There are different types, silent, mantra (speaking syllables because there is supposed to be "power" and activation of certain centers in the brain due to this), energy meditation, breath control (pranayama), mindful, zen, etc.

Then there is yoga dealing with postures.

But basically I just do corpse pose meditation when I'm trying to fall asleep/can't fall asleep or am too lazy to sit up in a regular cross-legged position. Corpse pose is good for astral projection/lucid dreaming too.

To meditate correctly is based on your own will and your own development, there really is no way of meditating "correctly" because meditation is more of a state of mind which you're trying to achieve.

How it's supposed to make you feel, well, it makes you feel great, and has many health benefits, it makes you realize the falseness of this material world, it makes you realize the world of names and words is nonexistant, it makes you realize all the matter is just one force, makes you realize your inner voices and origins of thoughts, makes you realize your subconscious speaking to you (which is something you need to experience by shutting off your useless random thoughts).

It has great health, spiritual, mental benefits. It makes you realize the power of the mind and how mind controls matter and all the matter around you. It makes you realize everything you've been taught is a lie, it makes you feel "high", gives you peace of mind, gives you control over your life...makes you control your own reality.

Basically, you should just experiment with what type you like the most and stick to it and be regular with it. Being consistent with this is the key, if you become consistent a world of opportunity will open up for you.

Shit man, meditation makes me realize a lot, makes me realize that all these religions, new age psychic people, are all false. It makes you realize a lot. Give it a try and liberate your mind from this material projection.

Meditation is a way of thinking, a way of living with a certain thought process.

Anyway tl;dr. but it's definitely worth pursuing and I highly encourage everybody here to give it a try.

e: hallucinations occur when you go deeper into trance and see "sacred geometry" and hit a hypnagogic brainwave/REM state of mind.

I've spent the last 12 hours researching DMT and the Peneal Gland and it's lead me to articles on meditation. I'm completely intrigued and going to practice this more.

Achieving a higher state of consciousness will give you the power to release neurotransmitters from your brain and give you the same high as dmt/lsd/shrooms for example.

Trust me on this one, but the best time of day is around the time of/during dusk/dawn.

Mainly before dawn around 3-5am in the morning. That's when one gains the most benefits from meditation/prayer/yoga.

e: combine this with a healthy lifestyle, exercise, an amazing diet and you become a god
