Just got home from the dentist, Closest appointment is in 4 weeks, this tooth isn't saveable so I need to get it pulled & get a spacer :/ damnit

What was wrong with the tooth? What happening to it and why not saveable?

It's been a bad tooth the last couple years. I had a Root canal done for it so thankfully it isn't painful but since I've finished school I am no longer on my parents insurance. The crown was too expensive so it started to decay. The tooth infront and behind will start to drop/lean becuase there is no tooth supporting them there anymore. So it has to be pulled as soon as possible to decline any infection that could start. Everytime I eat I have to use floss etc to clean it which is just a pain.
