Hi guys,
I thought about this option since some people often spam my Threads.

My idea is to add some Checkboxes to not allow some poeple to post in your threads.
In my opinion this will prevent much spam, since you can add all those spammers to your blocklist (maybe add a second blocklist, one for PM's and one for Threads) and then dont allow them to post in your thread.


I really dont like spammers and i also dont want to PM a mod always (also often they just keep spamming even if a mod posted something)

No... I constantly block kids cuz they spam me or whatever... i still want to be able to trade with them

However, a Post block list would be a greater idea, PM block list, Topic block list ..

I think its a good idea , but I wouldnt have it there tho.
Would rather have this option in the actual block list , where you could cross off etc people you dont want you post in ur threads.

No, I like to be able to post warnings if I see an unperm as perm seller trying to strike again or just a scammer in general. They shouldn't be able to stop people from exposing them.

Well it looks like you can choose who on your block list to block from posting. Like if a trader is spamming your inbox cause of a trade, then you block him. You can still let him see and post in the thread if you really want to trade with him still. That's what the picture looks on my perspective.

Thats why i said there could be 2 block lists
1 for Threads
1 for PM's

And you could have the option to block "hardcore" spammers with the single checkboxes (ofc if you got to many you only have the option to block all^^)

It is a bad idea since it makes it easier for some users to scam others.

And if somebody for instance make a topic about you, you have to be able to defend yourself.

Just in my opinion, altho I really do understand what you want, maybe there can be some other kind of solution for this problem? Like letting blocked members only post maximum 1 post in your topic or something ?

if you were to scam someone, you can easily block them afterwords making it impossible to for them to post in your thread. it's a nice idea but it would get ruined by people that like to scam.

if some 1 can only post one post, then that leaves no room for bidding wars

on topic: if you can block users all together from posting in your post, like ook said, leaves room for people to scam.

E: just deal with it really, all they do is bump up your post anyways.
