I see it like this...
Every day I have someone message me asking for an item from a prior trade thread because I can not close them and let them fade away.
Every so often, someone bumps the thread and you are bombarded by messaging wanting this, that, and the next.

I understand this can be abused and flood trading forums with closed threads, but consider it like a sig / avatar violation.
If it happens to often, warn them and remove their rights to close.

This would be granted as a privilege rather than a right.

Normal members shouldnt have the option to close threads in my opinion.

It's not closing anyone Else's thread. It's their own thread.
I'm sure it gets annoying to mods asking them to close a thread.

You need to wait 4 hours before you bump your topic, but you can repost one hour after it's been closed...
Imagine how it could be abused....

Hmm.
I see where you're coming from, but perhaps take what I stated above into consideration.
The privilege could be taken away just like signature rights.

Perhaps this may be more work than it's worth. o.O
Just would be nice.
Maybe I was giving the majority of jsp users the benefit of the doubt which was ignorant and impulsive of me.

It would be more of a hassle to control who abuses this, then simply asking a TA or TM to close a topic IF NECESSARY only.
