• Emerge as a hero from a story-driven single-player experience and embark into even greater adventures in the multiplayer part of the game. The branching single-player story is created by the award-winning writers behind The Longest Journey, Dreamfall and Anarchy Online so expect a rare treat.
(this is basicly the tutorial, the very first few lvls of the game)
• Experience Funcoms revolutionary “Real Combat” engine.
A new multi-point melee system allows the players to swing their weapons where they direct it, in real-time, going head-on against the formulaic nature of online RPG combat.
(including many combos, spellweaving etc..). AoC actually takes SKILL and quick thinking/positioning to play properly.
• Create player-made battle formations, and command both NPCs and other players in epic multiplayer battles.
• Form guilds in the multiplayer game and lay siege to hostile castles. Let the catapults sing their merry song of death as the enemy is brutally crushed to a pulp.
• Every large guild (30+) is able to build his own city.
• FFA (free for all) PvP applies on PvP Servers (wich means no factions ingame, everyone can attack everyone exept those in your team/guild)

Being a tech tester myself this game had alot of input and testers so far, and this game seems to attract a very large crowd (especially when WoW is getting old for some and WaR still not being close to release)
Since 2008 should be a good year for MMO genre (Age of Conan, Warhammer online later on etc...), i think it would be in the best interest for jsp to give these games their own forums.
Open beta is being released on the 1st of may (but you have to be a subscriber to fileplanet to be able to obtain a key).
One of the reasons is also cause the client is VERY Big (around 13 gig).
Hopefully i will see many of you in the bloody lands of Hyboria.
