I never understood why gold logs were made private.

It doesn't really hurt if anyone sees your gold log.
It can help find multi's that scammers funnel their gold into.

Are bank statements available to the public?
Gold logs should, and I'm pretty sure always will, stay private unless someone chooses to share them.

gold logs are private.

they are also used as a tool for researching scammer accusations.

were the logs public, we would be flooded by a whole truck-load of wanna-be rent-a-cops screaming their heads off because they think they have solid scam proof from a self-performed superficial gold log search.

so -- HELL NO
