So my girl and I are looking into getting internet at our place. We live out in the country & I'm not certain what would be decent.

The fastest we can seem to find is 29.99 a month for 25 MBPS. I was wondering how fast or slow that is. The computer would mainly be to play d2, runescape, and watch youtube. There'd be basically no downloading or uploading that we couldn't wait to download.

I just dont wany dial up speed... Looking for some input from you great lads.

This.

25MB is not bad. It's good enough to play competitive games online, as long as you're plugged directly in via Ethernet, it will most likely not be good enough via WiFi. Neflix and other streaming services should work without issue on WiFi.

I was running netflix and league of legends on 5mbps (at maximum, avg was around 3mbps)

it was a big laggy, but it was managable. I have 100mbps now, but I just wanted no problems.

Live in the middle of nowhere with .5 mbps maybe on a good day and that is the maximum available. As long as only one roku/desktop/phone is using internet we can watch Netflix amazon and sometimes slingtv. If D2 is the only thing using internet bnet isn’t laggy at all.

Only possible other option is hughsnet for me but without knowing it will actually work it’s hard to switch.

My point is I would love 25 mbps

Thanks for the time you all took to help me make the decision :)

Except for whoever this Rust_Ninja guy is.

I'll most likely get it all set up in a week or so

This. Even best gear can be fucked up with wrong configuration and very small gear can do wonders.

Also, 25mbps wifi or not is enough for op.
