Diablo III accounts are illegal to trade because you can only have one account per CD key. It is almost like trading a cd key, and it is a lot more risky than in Diablo II.

External sources? I think you are mistaken. Everything that we trade here at D2jsp is contained within D2jsp and there are no external sources ever allowed under any circumstance.

I do however want to note one thing;

From Path Of Exile rules:

Quote
Buying and selling items or accounts for real money or external currencies (such as Forum Gold) is not allowed and we will ban people who attempt to engage in it in-game or on the pathofexile.com forums.

The following things are examples of behaviour that could get you banned under this rule:
Posting a trade thread where you ask for things other than Path of Exile items in exchange for your gear.
Offering people money or external currencies in exchange for their Path of Exile items or accounts.
Advertising external item sales sites. It's best to avoid mentioning them by name.
Running a service where you sell items or accounts to people for things other than Path of Exile items.

Although it comes to question that D2jsp is not really under those categories, so on PoE's end, that's where things may get tricky. Otherwise here, trades may be done accordingly and following the trading rules.

I would guess it's because your email (bnet account) and CD keys are linked to your D3 account, unlike with D2 accounts
With PoE, I guess you should only trade through jsp at your own risk, I'm aware you can get banned for mentioning d2jsp or stuff like that in-game but whatever (I don't play it so I'm not fully aware)

Yes, it is against PoE's ToS but not against ours here. The only thing to keep in mind here are the Forum Rules and the Trading Rules. Primarily the PoE trading section is for trading in general. So it's safe to say you can trade people as in game items for in game items.
