So i just got a new mother board and windows 7 installed into my computer (nothing special.. just an average/junk mother board) It's an older computer but it has 1.5 GB of ram, so it should be plenty to run windows 7, but for some reason i'm getting these crazy bad frame drops on youtube.. it never happened before with XP.

So pretty much what happens is when i move my mouse around when youtube is playing it skips around like a bastard, the sound and picture skips.

I've read some shit about it on google, but nothing helped and i can't find a thread that someone made that resolved it in the past.

What i run.. (It's nothing special)

Are you running any other programs while you are running YouTube?

I will do some digging, IMO looking at your setup I'm thinking it's your ram

The miminmum specs for windows 7 32 bit is 1 gig of ram, in reality you have 1.25 gigs usable

I will look around but an upgrade in ram sounds to me like it will most likely fix the problem

After searching around I'm finding a lot,

In just an idle state windows 7 can use around 40% of 2gb of ram ( depending on programs running )
Running antivirus programs, etc increases this amount.

The usage is a little higher on 1.50 gigs.
So if your idling at 40% of your ram, and anything is running in the background, it's not leaving much free
For anything else to run

Feel free to pm me with any ?'s mate
Hope this helps

Yotube doesn't use Codecs... and the flash player was the first thing i did.

Dont try to view videos in full-screen ....

pause the video after it starts playing, and let the whole file load ... and then play the video.

You may also wish to upgrade your macromedia shockwave and go back and upgrade flash player too, as they have plugins that are supposed to detect and integrate with your web browser.

Last, but not least, you may also want to check your browser's internet options, and make sure you didnt somehow disable streaming video.
