I'm recording something in camtasia, 30 frames/sec and it comes out really laggy. Like really bad.
Anyway I can reduce this lagg?
Also the audio is bad.

Assuming you have Windows 7/Vista you can try this.

Right click Desktop>Personalize>Display (Bottom Left)>Adjust Resolution (Top Left)>Advanced Settings>Troubleshoot>Change Settings. Lower this bar down to None.

Change settings is greyed out.

I tried recording with hypercam and camstudio but both were messed. Weird colours, it was really messed up. I think somethings wrong with my desktop not sure what.

My gamma is slighty low/high due to me adjusting it but other than that I can't think of any changes I made.

EDIT: I just changed my windows theme from a custom one to aero, seems a little better. What I noticed is the first quarter second is normal then the rest is laggy.
