Be nice if there was a way to pay for more space. Suggestions never go through in my experience, so bleh oh well.

If there was an option to buy more characters for a profile, profiles would become too much space to keep on this site, resulting in crashes, etc.
Just like the same reason they they have a size limit for signatures + avatars. They don't want profiles taking up too much memory.

I'm pretty sure it's to keep sig/profile load times manageable for lower-end devices. But 10,000 is archaic. JSP can upgrade at least a little bit imo.

Very few people use computers that would have any kind of issue using this site.

I personally think that we could have a limit on the number of Html codes, and then make the Html codes not take any character space.
