Search for "Power Options" from the Start Menu search. You will likely see that your current power option is "Balanced". Balanced is great if you like your system to freeze all the time. Change it to "High performance". Note that you may need to click "Show Additional plans" to see this option.

Most computers are not getting enough power and the above option should fix this since these internet heavy applications are a big cause.
DO NOT USE AVG OR KAPERSKY anti virus. It is known for compatibility problems and even freezing problems until microsoft gives a good explanation avoid this and download one of the known computer security systems that does NOT cause freezing.

3.TO ENSURE THAT A POWER OPTION LOWER THAN HIGH PERFORMANCE DOESNT MESS WITH YOUR INTERNET sETTINGS please follow the path:
control panel>network and internet>network and sharing center>change adapter settings>right click all internets that you use and go to properties>configure>power management>uncheck all boxes
4.Make sure your USB devices are compatible with windows 7. Some people have reported that any product not USB 2.0 or higher is having freezing issues as well. So if your computer freezes, try unplugging some of your devices plugged into a usb slot and see if the problem is solved or not.
