So, i've been used to switch between tabs in firefox by pressing CTRL (cmd@mac) + 1 (the tab number)

But i cant seem to do that in Safari? If i press cmd+1 (if i want to go to tab number 1.), it'll open my first bookmark on the bookmark menu.

i dont think you can on safari.
u best going back to fire fox or Opera

Command+Shift+Left or Right, I believe.

But what about doing it from tab 1 to 4 instead of going through tab 2 & 3?

Hey, there is no way of skipping those while just switching through tabs from your keyboard. You can do the emxiaks said or you can just use your mouse.
