The Warning System : by Animage

Q: What is the warning system?
A: The warning system is in place to enforce the rules the moderation team has placed for the users of d2jsp to follow. This is so we all have fun when we come here.

Q: Where do I see this warning system?
A: You can see your warning bar right below your Guild's name, or below your trader status if you are guildless.

Q: Why do we use a warning system?
A: The main purpose is for the moderation staff to see a user's history of the site and what they've done. This is also a sign to other users, that this individual cannot follow rules and gives an insight to their character.

Q: How does the warning system affect me?
A: It can affect many user's differently. If you can't follow the rules, it tends to show the community what kind of user you are and how others should view you. Inability to keep no warns or low warns shows that you dont want to work with all of us and the community and hurts chances for obtaining a trusted tag, or helping out in scammer accusations to work with the moderation staff.

Q: How does the warning system work?
A: When you receive a warning, your bar will increase by 10% and have information within it. Clicking on the % value will link you to your log of your warn history. Inside you will see the following : Who warned you, what you were warned for, and the amount your warn was increased or decreased. Warn removals will also appear in here.

Q: As my warnings increase what happens?
A: Between the levels of 10%-20% you are allowed all your rights, although closely watched by the moderation team. You have all your abilities on the site intact still.

30%+ Your user blog rights and your ability to post youtube links are removed.
50%+ Your signature, avatar, profile, and guild rights are removed.
70%+ Your gold lock rights and private message rights are removed.
100% You posting rights are removed.

Q: How do i get my warnings removed?
A: Being a beneficial member to the community and staying away from breaking the rules is the only way. After a time period, of what is usually 30 days, you may PM the moderator who issued the warn, and kindly ask for it to be removed. The moderator DOES NOT have to remove this warn if they do deem it necessary, especially depending on the severity of the warn. NEVER PM another moderator to do this, unless the moderator that warned you has retired. All PM's with these and ONLY these circumstances are to be PM'd to _Mork_ or Balakai. Do not PM anyone else for these type of warn removals. A further explaination of the warn removal system is located here.

Q: What if I feel I was warned for no reason?
A: There is always a reason a moderator has chosen to warn someone. If you feel you were unjustly warned, PM the person you were warned by and speak to them only. Bringing it up to others on the moderation team will only prolong the amount of time your warn lasts.

Q: How would i get warned?
A: Breaking the site's trading and posting rules is the way to do this. All rules and guidelines are posted here in the Forum rules and policies. The rules for the Trading grounds and all other trading areas are posted here.

Q: May I ask the mods for help if I happen to violate the rules by mistake?
A: You may always spam our PM boxes trying to correct a mistake having something fixed. We are here to help the community and every rule being followed makes the staff's lives easier.

Thanks to hedonism and Decadence for their previous guides that I have updated.
