So on Thursday evening I suddenly lost my internet connection. The internet light turned red. I've tried restarting it, unplugging everything etc. The other lights are fine except the WLAN light went off too after tweaking a bit. ISP said they won't do anything before Monday so is there something I could do? I have two laptops connected to the router wirelessly and my PS3 with an ethernet cable. The first errors said it was a DNS error.

Usually when a light turns from green to red on any electronic device it means it's been blown by a surge of electricity.
Have you had any recent power outages or bad storms lately?

Ehh it's working now with an Ethernet cable, but WLAN light is out and Windows keeps giving me messages of problems with network adapter but not any specifics. I downloaded the latest driver for my network adapter (Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 2200) and it didn't help. Intel's program suggested me something about assocation problems which meant something about SSIDs not matching(?). I guess I could try re-installing my network but what's the easiest way to do that in Windows 8? Never done that after the initial setup, I've had this laptop for a few months now. I can dish out some FG for a working solution.

Nope, the internet connection actually went down while I was just playing PS3. And my mom's laptop is having similar issues as well, so I'm guessing it's either a WLAN problem with the router or some silly Windows 8 network thing. It's probably something very simple and I'm just looking like an idiot.

More info: I can see my network in the network list but can't connect. The security key must be correct because it gives an error if it isn't. After telling me I can't connect, Windows starts troubleshooter which tells me that there is a problem with the network adapter and it wasn't resolved by the troubleshooter. Is there any way to start completely fresh with the networks like in the initial setup where it only asks me to pick a network and enter the password (not security key)? Also I can't use the 'forget network' option since it only works if there is a red cross on the network in the networks list.
