im looking to buy a 2012 corolla but to get her co signer on it. and get her to put her as first driver and me as occasional driver. so its cheaper insurance ofc.

As far as I understand:
Your mother would have to tell your insurance agent that she is going to be the primary driver in the car she is driving. She would also state that she would be the primary driver on the second vehicle, but that you would be listed as an occasional driver on that vehicle. If you are not listed as a driver, even an occasional driver, there may be problems in the event of an accident.

Do not do this. I asked my insurance company regarding this. They said it was fraud and they can take legal action against you because your mother really isn't the primary driver.
