So my brother got RRoD on his Xbox360 and he just bought a new one.

He gave me his old one and said if I could fix it I could have it.. is there any way to PERMANENTLY fix the RRoD?

Send it into Microsoft (1-800-4MYXBOX)
or go to www.xbox.com
and request a repair
they'll either email you, or mail you a shipping label
you send the xbox to them, and you should get one back in 1-2 weeks.
