My level 77 Hardcore Ladder, Summon Druid died. It is what it is. I invested a lot of time into it for the past three weeks. Didn't get rushed or helped because I didn't know anybody in the game except for moshaq who was always too busy to answer my messages. I was in Act 3 Hell fighting the Hell Council when a big lag spike got a hold of me.

And it happened right as I came across some conviction-aura witch spamming fire shots at me, and one of the council members had casted amplify damage on me with the fantacism aura. It was just a bad combination to be experiencing lag of any kind. Literally five seconds of being in a lag spike was enough to get me. When I finally stopped lagging, I was already reduced from a werewolf to plain human form with my life bar already going down. I died a half second later as I tried to exit the game but couldn't -- the ping of the game must have been over 4000.

The bittersweet thing was, my really strong Grizzly Bear still had a full life bar when I died. He never even lost a spec of life.

Anyways, it's all over for me and it was a good run. Hardcore Ladder is still way better than Softcore.

Don't quit man! That is the feeling that keeps us coming back time and time again. If you didn't die every once in awhile, what would keep you respecting hardcore? It's all about the thrill and that gut-wrenching feeling when you die and lose your hours of invested time and all those sexy items. Can't help but love it. Just make a summon nec or little mf sorc until you start building some items or a group to play with.

I lose a couple 9x's every season. Sometimes I get mad but usually its my fault. Rebuild bigger better and faster.
