Don't be biased because this is a Ps3 section.
I'll be able to play more on the PC, but I imagine the game is designed more for consoles then PCs, but I'm not sure, which should I buy it on?

Yeah you should consider this point.

I prefer PC because I'm always on my comp and I don't have to turn on my PS3 to play etc.
There's also more people (and 64p games) on PC and you can set filters for games (Idk bout PS3 ;o)
Make sure your comp can support BF3 on PC though :O

if i were ever going to buy it, it would be for the console.
surround sound with games like that is the way to go imo.
especially for 7.1 :P

The game is designed for PCs and therefore PC will have the most and best options (64 players as opposed to the PS3's 32). I'm not sure how joining games works on the PS3 since I have it for the PC, but the PC has a server browser which allows you to narrow down what type of match you want to play. It's also very easy to form a squad and join games with friends on PC as well. Plus, if you have a good PC you will get the best graphics and highest frame rates.

Of course, if your PC isn't so good you will struggle running the game. I have 2 GTX 570's in SLI and an overclocked 2600k at 4.5 GHz and I manage to average about 55 FPS with every setting maxed out. PC will also encounter random other issues that the PS3 won't.

I would still get it for PC though if you can play it.

I have 5.1 surround sound plugged into my computer

On the beta you had to use a website to find servers, is that the same? I found it quite annoying

pc has better grpahics if ur pc can produce them (although from reviews it said highend graphics with low requirements) and has more players in the games
however pc is usualy the frist paltform t oget hacked where as ps3 is pretty stable i dont remember any hackers in sny other BF game but thers only 24 ppl in gmaes making it 12vs12
pc is also the mian platform not console but they both have pros and cons
