So im hearing that it may be part of new mechanics that, when you use certain rifles they have a limited range on them

for instance the sv98 has a 1000 yard max, and the m98 has a 1200+ yard limit

Does anyone know if this is confirmed or not?

I have made a 784 on the mk
However when i tried for a 1000 yard shot on the sv98, even when the bullet clearly lands on the persons head, it doesn't register the shot.

I think this has something to do with a limited max yardage a gun can shot until the bullet just vanishes in thin air.


Also if you notice, shotting into the air with the sv98 you will see the bullet disappears in the same spot on your scope every time.

true, have you noticed this yet?

the bullet disapears after a certain point and im not sure if it will actually hit the player after that point on the sv98

however, while watching the beta shot (967) with a m98 you can clearly see the bullet travel past the -2.25 mili which is where it stop on the sv

also wtf is with the kid with a 1300 on pc, but not a single sniper rifle kill lol, i smell hacks

they have varying damage range on just about every gun why wouldnt they for the sniperS?

this is not a varying damage range.. its a point where the bullet disappears

It is impossible to hit someone with the SV98 past 800 yards

This is because your bullet actually disappears after a certain distance is crossed
