i recently ....acquired this for my pc..... worth beating?

It's great fun for at least one playthough imo. After finishing it once I didn't play it again, though.

If you decide to play, remember to choose hard, I'm not a good gamer but medium difficulty is very easy. Smashing around itself is quite fun but it looks a bit too WoWy for my taste.

I was considering getting it myself. Let me know how it is if you decide to play it.

With that mindset no.

It's a game worth playing.

I have a ton of hours wracked up on it.

Got the platinum in it, very fun.

How difficult was it?

Not at all. You could do it without even following a guide. It is long though.
But the trophies are like, collect X of this plant, complete x storyline, kill x enemies with x move, find x lorestones (stones within the world), beat the game on hard.
There are maps and strategies you could use too but by the time I beat the game I had well over 50% of the trophies without even trying.
