So I'm still using the very first xbox that came out.

I'm coming to the conclusion its close to dying. It's been what 3 years and a fair amount of playing.

Fans starting to get loud never use to be.

What type would I be lookingg for. Like what $ ammount am I looking at?

One with more than 16 gb of memory this time

If I were you I'd get a refurbished slim 250 gig.

Got mine from GameStop a few years ago and still running strong. The new Xbox is coming out later this year so if you are set on getting a new console to hold you through until this winter then I think refurbished would be a better choice instead of spending extra money on brand new console. (Unless ofc money is not an issue)

Oh and I bought mine for 230ish I think? It's been a couple years they are cheaper now.

Like someone else says don't replace it until its stopped working for good.

You can get the 4 gig one for a little less than 200 and just use a laptop hard drive.

The only place I would recommend getting a used one from is Gamestop. Don't skimp out and use other sites like Craigslist you're just asking for trouble.

The bundles are where it's at though. You can get a few games + points or Xbox Live time. Amazon has this for 30 dollars off
