If you have answered yes to one of these questions you opened the correct thread!
I will be helping you out with a simple how to guide and provide links that will help you get connected to Xbox Live.
First of all lets start off with the basic: Connecting to Xbox Live
Although connecting to Xbox Live may sound tricky it can be quite simple.
To connect to Xbox Live you must have the following: Ethernet Cable, Modem/Router, and an active internet connection
If you don't have these they will most likely be sold at your local electronics store but Best Buy is guarenteed to have these.
The first and easiest way to connect is rather simple.1. Before you connect any cables, turn off your router, modem, PC, and Xbox 360 console. (Unplug your modem from its power source to turn it off.)
2. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on your modem and the other end to the Ethernet input port on the back of your router.
3. With another Ethernet cable, connect one end to one of the router's Ethernet output ports. Connect the other end to your PC's Ethernet port.
4. With the third Ethernet cable, connect one end to another of the router's Ethernet output ports. Connect the other end to the Ethernet port on the back of the Xbox 360 console.
5. Turn on your modem, then your router, then your PC.
6. Make sure your PC can access the Internet. If not, you may need to configure the router for Internet access. For help configuring the router using your PC, check the instructions that came with the router.
7. Turn on your Xbox 360 console and sign in with your profile.

First off, you will still need an ethernet cable, with it plug it into your laptop(the ports tend to be on the sides of most laptops)
2. You will want to then connect the opposite end into your Xbox 360
3. Then go to Connections and highlight the hardwire connection and your wireless connection then right click and hit bridge connections.
4. You have successfully bridged. *Note- Laptop Must be on in order to bridge
