Ok I brought my hardrive over to a friends the other day and put it onto his consol, then started a download of an arcade game which I ended up finishing at my house of my xbox.

Although I can only play the game on my xbox when I have that profile signed in. Because apparently since I started the download at his house it is licensed to his xbox.

To fix this I am going to license change the profile onto my home xbox hoping that any profile on my xbox can play the game.

The Question is tho if I go to his house and redownload it onto his xbox then do the license transfer will we both be able to play the game on any profile on each of our xbox's?

No, You can only have an arcade game licensed to one xbox at a time. No sharing like what you described is permitted by microsoft wanna do something like this buy a PS3.
