OK so it seems there are a lot of people out there that might have a question about an item in the game, or a game mechanic etc. I have been constantly researching this game, helping with the wiki and compendium, and lurking the DD forums, so I have picked up quite a bit.

Here will be a place to ask a question without the hard work of making a thread In which me or any other fellow defender willing to help will try our best to give an accurate and prompt answer.

I ask that no price checks be posted as the prices are fluctuating constantly. Also if someone asks about a weapon, please do not post your for sale thread, thanks.

I will do my best to stay on top of the thread as much as possible, since I spend a good amount of my day on JSP I don't see it being a problem.

I'm a super noob... (just unlocked the full game seconds ago). Whats the difference from locked and unlocked items? is it just to prevent selling them with the sell all option?

Also, I would like to know if trading is safe in this game, (hacked items etc)

Yes sir, an easy way to lock or unlock is by hovering over the item and pressing L. Whenever you pick up a dropped item it is ALWAYS unlocked during your session, so always be sure to lock your goodies before clicking sell all.

Ahh didnt see your edit, hacked items will appear as normal, in my signature there is a compendium of MAX stats on an item, or you can ask here if your unsure, if it looks too good to be true, probably is, so check first.

Ok thanks, seems its like borderlands, crazy stats are the only of finding out if the item is real or not :S Too bad modded items made it in the game because it looks really fun to play.

yeah, but soon they will be weeded out, VAC is coming into place which detects loaders/cheatengine so it should be good.

Do you have/know good setup for spook insane solo?
