So I was 12 years old and I had 2 gerbils. I set up a maze for them to run around in. The gerbils were running and I was sitting on my knees. I went to change my sitting position so I put my elbow down unknowning the gerbil was there. My elbow crushed its head and a "crack" sound let out. I literally indented and crushedthe gerbils skull, it started flipping around like jumping on its back and rolling around for about 10 seconds until it died. Its head was indented in and there was blood coming out. I was so scared and shocked I started crying and ran up to my room shaking. I still have the image in my head... man that was sick :(. Poor thing was probably in immense amounts of pain in those 10 seconds the thing was jumping around and not landing on its feet.
