So a few months ago my good friend Cho introduced me to the wonderful world of K-pop and since then I have just been in love with the music. I know there are some fans of the genre out there and I also know there are people who never even knew this music existed(much like myself). So I have decided to share my love with all of you by posting one video a day until I run out(Like that'll ever happen, but who knows) The videos may be old school, newer, brand new, or perhaps even so new there is no video for it yet.

Today I have decided to psot 2 videos, they are the same song just sung by 2 different groups. Snsd and f(x) are both signed under the same company and each sang this song in their own style.


This is snsd, their concept for the song was a slower and more seductive one, they wear more revealing clothes and include a fan dance in their version.



This is F(x) their versoin of the song is faster and more upbeat(better for dancing along) they showcase their dance skills and include a rap in their version.(Snsd does not have a rap because they do not have a main rapper, but instead they have a main dancer*Hyoyeon*)

I think both version are great, but If I had to pick one I would say F(x)'s version because I personally enjoy more upbeat songs. But thats just me, you can make your own decision on who did it better

Also a little note, fx's version has about 15 seconds of the snsd version at the beginning and vice versa.

Today's artist is Lee Hyori. A former member of the 90's group Fin.K.L, Hyori is now a solo singer. She has modeled for a number of products and has been in a few CFS(commercials), most recently she was crowned the ambassador for Korean beef. Hyori is the highest paid Female singer in Korea and considered a pop icon; even coining her own phrase "Hyorish" which is now popular slang (Hyorish was also the name of her 3rd album) Hyori is gorgeous, talented, and very diverse in her musical abilities; which is why her fan base is so huge. Shes got a little somethin for everyone

Todays artist is G.Na. She is a very talented and relatively new artist(She debuted in july) who recieved much love for her debut song "Ill back off so you can live". Oringinally she was supposed to be the leader of a 5 member group, but when that fell through she debuted as a solo artist. Along with her first album she also has a duet with singer Rain(Things I Want to Do When I Have a Lover); she was also featured in a 2pm video and was a back-up dancer for a label mates music video(Hyuna's Change)

Today's artist is Hyuna. Hyuna is part of the 5 member group 4Minute and was the original rapper for the Wonder Girls(She is the rapper in WG's Video "Irony"). She is known as the "Visual" of 4minute and is often positioned right in the middle of the group during photoshoots and concerts. She is also involved in many solo activies such as her solo album, appearing by herself on variety programs, and she was part of the first season of Invincible Youth(Which was a great show when she was on)

Today's Group is 2ne1, I chose them because a friend of mine whos just getting into Kpop likes them so ill post a video just for him ^_^. 2ne1 is a 4 member group that debuted in may of 2009 with the song "Fire" and have recieved much love since. 2ne1 has a very unique sound compared with other k-pop groups. This song was the first one they promoted off of their new album "To Anyone" its also my favorite song of theirs.

Today's group is 2pm. 2pm is a 6 member group that was actually once part of an 11 member group called One Day. That group split into a 4 member group(2am) and a 7 member group(2pm). The leader of 2pm, Jaebeom, left the group after a controversy in late 2009. Like their other label mates 2pm has performed internationally and recieved a lot praise for it. 2pm is my favorite of all the male idol groups, of all the songs they have promoted, they have never come out with a song I didn't instantly like. This song is off of their newest album "Still 2:00 Pm"

Today's group is After School. After school started out as a 5 member group, went up to 6 members(Uee joined), then the lost 1 and gained 2 members(Soyoung left; Nana and Raina joined), then they gained an 8th member(Lizzy) which is their current amount. This group is one of my favorites and this is my favorite song of theirs. This was their 2nd single and the first song Uee was in. Though I was never a big fan of Uee I pesonally thought the 6 member After School was the best. But I have nothing against Nana, Raina, or Lizzy(And Because of You and Bang! are good songs) I just prefered their earlier style.

Today's group is 4Minute. 4minute is a 5 member group that debuted in mid 2009, their first single was "Hot Issue". Which is off of their first album "For Muzik" other singles from that album are "Muzik" and "What A Girl Wants". Their 2nd album was "Hit Your Heart"(HUH) Their first single off that album was "Huh" and their second was "I My Me Mine". 4minute has recently been promoting in Japan, with Japanese versions of their hit songs but they have also recently released a Japanese album. The only song ive heard so far is "First" but that one is really good and I can't wait to hear the rest.(Which I should hear very soon) Along with being talented they are also one of the sexiest groups out there

Today's group is Super Junior. Super Junior is currently a 10 member group, although they used to have 13 members. (2 members left for personal reasons and one member is currently serving his country in the Army) Super Junior debuted in 2005 and since has contributed in 20 different types of records. They have a wide variety of songs from ballads to pop to love songs and all of them are quite good. Although each singer only gets a small amount of center time(since there are so many members) they each shine in their own way. Some are known for their dancing others are known for their sweet voices. each member brings something unique to the group.(And I have to say, although I like their new songs like Bonamana and No Other. Suju was best when they had all 13 members) This song does include all 13 members and is my favorite.
