To most this is probably as meaningless as every other congrats, suggestion or misplaced D2 thread... but to me it means a good deal.
Now Safmy didn't really give me my start in LS. I had been playing off and on for the first season or two before he joined are guild, but you could hardly consider what I was doing at the time slashing. I had no idea what gear was good, I had no idea what regen gear was ... so my slashing consisted of me killing 2 mobs, then walking down to the hotel lobby grabbing a drink and coming back to kill 2 more about a half an hour later. After joining the guild, he really turned around my play. He told me to shrine all of my gear and started showing me what to buy and how to slash effectively even though he hadn't even really played the game yet. Where I had gaps, he filled them in to the point that now, even though I can't pass monk, if I did I'd be set for any class on any core.
He has been gone so long, that few probably remember him at all, but he was truly one of the greats. He had the ingenuity of wigwam combined with the bankroll of Bill Gates. In the early seasons he could MQ twice in the time it took me to do lvl 60-61. He gave season 7 a heck of a run before a fail streak on Warlock. He really built up our guild and made us one of the finest of our time.
So after 3 years of Safmy quitting LS, I have finally +1 and +2d my way past him:

I slash these days and will continue to do so until I get a ninja, but it just isn't the same without Saf (and of course the rest of my fallen comrades). I will knock one back tonight for my closest friend on this site!
