this idea would be useful especially for that guys that use different chars to increase their chance of finding a group.
my idea is pretty simple:
just add a command to show all groups that are playing with the number of the players and the level of the leader like:

/online
16:09 There are 15 users online, and 3/1 groups. 6/0 players are looking for a group.

/groups (for the realm you are playing on)
16:09 list of groups: user_x lvl 7 3/5 - user_y lvl 15 4/5 - user_z lvl 43 1/5

so if you got a char at lvl 20 for example you cant see the lvl 15 group with the normal search at the moment.. with the new improved search you could see the group and message the leader asking to join to get picked up



there could also be a list of the online players with the command /players.. this would help to form groups as well.

I haven't voted, but here is an issue that came to me instantly.

Lets assume LS will re-grow, and many people will be playing it again. With your suggestion, you'd be looking at a massive wall of text of not only groups, but people in a group solo'ing. This idea could be useful for times as the are now with very few people. But when more people are playing, it's just overkill IMO.

Even if it did regrow and u had a big wall of text it just stays there for a sec or so and u can always clear log

yep you are right. if there will be ever lets say 100 people playing all the time.. this can be removed (or presented in a compact form) ofc as you will most likely almost everytime find a group. would help for now ofc

edit: and i mean.. if we will have so many players playing the game.. this should be our smallest problem
since you arent spammed with a wall of text if you dont use the command.. and you can always check the player numbers with /online first

Hell yes!

I won't get too much benefits from that coz i doin' runs 1-71 or full solo climb (extremely rare), but if one ppl dropped from the group will may help a lot in getting replacement. Will be nice tor 2/5 & 3/5 group starters too!
