I was in a room with seasoned guys, they told me dexterity does not impact crits.
Now, I fully understand the Damage effect of dexterity for different weapons (i think its plainly 1 dex is worth 1 str if its an axe, if its a club 1 str = 10dex)

What I do not understand is if there is an optimum ratio for critical strike

But i did a little test

with 89 dex i did 7% of the time critical dmg
with 132 dex i did 15% of the time critical dmg

and this was tested on a barb with a club!
I took a sample size of 400 hits for each test. Given that, ratio has nothing to do with crits, but is only dmg modifier and that tells me dex still has crit impact regardless of weapon

Your tests are inconclusive.

You need to test the club with low dex high str ratio first off.

You need to do the test on both sides of the coin.

Then you need to set up a control scenario where you use a different ratio from the other 2 to see how those results pan out.

well i dont see your point.
i kept everything fixed and increased dex only and it resulted in more crits.
does this not say dex increases crits?

both wrong... str and dex are influencing crits according to the weapon ratio. thats at least what is stated. maybe they only influence dmg according to the ratios but crits the same way. so if u put balanced points u would get the most crits.

This is correct. Both poll choices are incorrect. Both stats have inverse effects on damage, and the lower stats affects critical strike chance (with exception of the axe, which uses both stats).

The high crits with str is because Clubs and Swords has wide range.

I think
