From what i've seen and experienced, it takes a lot longer to level in cata groups and it's a lot harder. This patch seems to be catered to those that are already geared? Any opinions? I could be wrong since i'm rather new, but it's been a harsh day full of shortly lived cata groups.

but im solo'ing and have shit gear

i have nice gear and soloing from 1-5 took me 20 minutes.. wich use to take me 5 minutes to do..

I have crap gear as well. I spent only around 300fg to get upgrades and have mq'd once and failed lols. But today has been rough. I got to level 48 casting/healing but now i'm getting stuck. Just wondering if it's just me or the new players feeling this hit?

heh i guess it was a poor decision to waste fg when the game got that much harder for new players

Must be temporary and no, you're not the only one. We also had the same problem with casting now and we have decent gear. Even posted a topic about it just now but it might get locked, oh well. :S
Seems like its hard in groups with others, soloing seems to work ok.

Nvm seems like it was intentional and I guess he has a point, though I'd do like to slash with my friends every now and then. and I bet sometimes new/poor players can't find other ppl than casters.

Atleast we got a clear answer now so no pure caster groups.

solo'ing is unrealistic if you have good gear now. guess you better have some friends.

Soloing Cata does not compare to arena.

Also Proficiency do not level for anything now.

Unless I guess finding a well is your only option to increase prof.. which is nearly impossible to find.. well too much time consumption.

I'm not sure what to do...the game is suited for veteran players even more now. And if proficiencies don't mean anything, new players will never close the gap. Hmm not sure what to do. I think everyone is feeling this way since there are no cata groups forming anymore lol
