oh i can help u all a bit i suppose. Now these are just my ideas and so i dont need any spam here after this, remember this is to help out a a new guy!

Ladder slasher is a fun game indeed, that is if you are able to kill at your lvl to gain experience.. pretty much like any other video game


Im going to go ahead and crash course this like u asked!

1) Enter Ladder Slasher Via this link - Ladder Slasher

2) Enter your D2jsp account name and password/Gold password! if you do not have a gold password, it is up to you to make one, to further protect your forum gold and ladder slasher items!!! ( I think you can do this here - Forum Gold Link )

3) Now that you have logged into ladder slasher its time to select a class ( specific character ) Lets start with Rogue!

4) Click Create, then select Rogue, and female or male. ( Then Hit Create Again to finalize it. ) now that your character is created, double click him/her to get started playing!

5) Your going to need some gear, atleast a weapon ( but i suggest a weapon and a charm! ) and under most circumstances your going to need higher lvl gear as your character levels up ! !

6) Your going to need to visit the market place to search and find/purchase gear! here are some terms u will find useful! ( ee = Enhanced effect! / str = Strength / dex = Dexterity )

7) Here comes a list of my suggestible gear that might help you to accomplish your first master quest (Cheaply)

(Since where going with rogue, theres going to be a lot of equipment types you can use )

Rogue can use any of these:

Weapons - Sword / Club / Dagger / Axe / Staff
Armors - Robe / Padded Robe / Leather Armor / Scale Armor
Charms - All charm Types

All properties of items i list are a suggested basic easy starter stat! however there are many other statistics and properties of items that you can find out about in other links/threads!


Other additional mods are life mods but for basic cheap go with first options first! 35ee/9+str/9+str (remember Dex can also be used instead of Str!) however for the first 1-20 lvls i suggest Strength Armor/Charm

Also, u may find lower lvl items with better mods than my higher lvl suggestions! If u do/and can afford them. u can easily use the lower lvl item for 10 lvls b4 u need to buy gear again!

Lvl 0 - Weapon(35+EE) / Armor(9+Str) / Charm(9+Str) - Most times you can pickup a 13+ str armor/charm and a 50+ EE weapon at lvl 0, incase u do, the armor/charm will do you fine to lvl 10!
Lvl 5 - Weapon(50+EE) / Armor(14+Str) / Charm(14+Str)
Lvl 10 - Weapon(70+EE) / Armor(19+Str) / Charms(19+Str)
Lvl 15 - Wep(80+EE) / Armor(24+Str) / Charms 24+Str)

Ok with the first 20 levels being coquered fast and easy, the higher lvl items are going to cost a bit more ;( usually they do however if u browse the market place often u may find great deals

For the higher lvls most people get better gear after 10-15 Lvls to save fg and precious inventory space However you can use a mule and transfer gear to another of your characters in the market place!

So again with some suggestions here we go!

Lvl 20/25 Wep(80+EE) / Armor-Charm(25+Str) the more the better but 25 is ok.
Lvl 30/35 Wep(90+EE / Armor( your going to want to maybe buy a higher lvl armor for defense!! and still try to get 25 or + Str ) As for the charm your lower lvl one will be ok!
Lvl 40/45 Wep(90+EE / Armor( again you may find a higher lvl armor with more than your old armors str! another addition to think about is Dexterity as its sometimes cheaper!!
Lvl 50/55 Wep( Here i would suggest a lvl 55 weapon(90+EE) as thats the highest lvl weapon u can get at this time ) For a charm i would look for a charm thats affordable,
with more str points or dex points than your best charm u have!

Now if u keep your items after u buy them, you will be able to climb Rogue again after master Quest!!! However if u pass master Quest!!! You will be able to choose a new character not formerly availiable to you ( However this new character uses only specific item types ) by then you should have learned enough to figuere out what it can use!
When u pass and its time to select class again, whichever class u selext will tll u what u can use for it!!

Just a personal thing for me, but I always like to suggest EE armors, and rogues are no exception since it helps tank/not die in catacombs, and helps prolong your solo chains.

Otherwise, I presume this will help out the newbies

Not really needed... but if you were doing a step by step; I think it's crucial you should be able to type in your character name..

the most newcomers dont got fg for the gear you suggest, I think thats abit to much

aight just there was a guy asking for help so i helped him and typed all this in his thread, i ofc sent him starter fg and figuered id copy paste it all to a new thread just incase it helped somone..

even tho they may not have the fg, id rather new commers shoot for atleast this kinda gear if they can, i know all cant ofc. but it might help other guys if every new commer isnt in catas with 20dex weapon and 7 exp gain armor with a max mana charm,

i agree with 7 11 that new ls players should try to stick to ee armors at first as they generally tend to be cheaper and can help you in your solo/cata endeavors
