went to well a sword with 4k life, no mob ever showed up.
i went and relogged in, and it shows me as dead.

wtf?

It's possible it killed you within the amount of hits it takes to auto-d/c (10?)

thats why you have a 2nd tab up with your login info already typed in for situations just like this
should be madatory for all hc players, saved me more than a few times

I don't understand why people play HC for this reason.

It seems, there is no way to avoid certain situations like this, as it's happened to me a few times on SC.

its for this reason that people play hc on anything. its why i play hc on d2 the risk makes it more fun. nothing like the rush you get when you almost rip and you save your own ass by just a sliver

Theres nothing more fun then logging back in to see you have 1-2 hits left on you or running away from a laggy fight with less then 200 life left

That's what I was thinking.
Personally, I don't like the stat placement or gear choice on that character.



This is how I used to feel as well.

For me, I reached the point where I can't bear to play SC because it's just too easy and boring. On HC you don't have groups to fly to MQ whenever you want, gear to solo to MQ whenever you want, and you stand to face loss which makes it more interesting. Not to mention I have no time to try to play for a reset or any truly serious progress, so I play HC for the fun and double GPs.
