64 is the lowest level you can well (read: easiest well monsters) and get lvl 55 side drops. It's also the easiest level for welling 55's, as the monster spawns at the higher of your level +1 or item requirement level +10. In both cases, this is a lvl 65 well monster.

Having done wells at lvl 78 with a mage, I no longer reccommend doing this. As I was forewarned before I ripped: If you roll something good you'll either run out of mana or you'll be a dead man.

not true.
mobs crit a lot higher on lvl70+

I well most of my items as I climb. I have a few "best" levels to well.

Definitely not.



^^this. I just start welling at 64 and go until I either run out of whites or hit level 71. Then climb to 64 and do the whole thing over again
