Inroduction
- After v1.14 transmuting changed into a skill that has to be leveled much like glyphing. No longer can a person transmute any item they want, rather they must build their proficiency which will allow them to mute higher tier'd/magical prefix'd items.
- Transmuting is also a skill that is required for suffusencing. The essences extracted in muting are used in this skill. (More on Suffusencing can be found here)
- Transmuting can also be profitable, either by selling essences at lower levels or muting usable items at higher levels, but both require a significant investment of time.

Basics
- You can use the transmutation box to extract Magical (or higher) Essence from magical+ items. Once you get essence, you can combine it with another magical+ item of the same tier to reroll that item.
- When you extract the Essence from an item, you have a chance to get from magical to the magical level of the item. For instance, if you extract an Angelic item, you have a chance to get Magical, Rare, Mystical, or Angelic Essence from that item.
- When you combine Essence with an item, it's important to try and match the magical of the item with the essence for optimal effect. If you combine an Angelic item with an Angelic Essence, you are almost guarenteed to get a rerolled Angelic item. If you combine a Magical Item with an Angelic Essence, you have a chance to get a Magical, Rare, Mystical, or Angelic rerolled item.

Just Starting Out
1) To begin, place a magical tier 1 item into the mute box and transmute that item into an essence by clicking the "transmute" button and the "stabalize" button when the volatility gets above 1/2 the bar.
2) Once you have extracted that essece, place that essence and another magical tier 1 item into the mute box and repeate the process in step one to trasmute.
3) You can also stack like tier/magic essenences which allows you to either reduce on inventory space or sell those stacks to suffusencers.
3) As you build your proficiency, you are able to mute higher leveled items. (below is a detailed list of what the min/max itmes you can mute at to gain points at each proficiency)

Tips
- For lower levels, it might be better to sell the essences rather than re-mute them bc 1) its an wasy way to make fg 2) the items needed are easy to farm 3) the odds of muting something useful are very low.
- I found it best to stick to the maximum of your allowed mutes. Although it takes longer to complete a mute it gives the most proficiency points and requires less items being found/bought.

Disclaimers
- When muting a magical item w/ a magical essence, it is normal for the item to come back white.
- When muting two like magical items together, it is normal for the trasmuted item to come back one magical prefix lower and sometimes even two.
- It is normal for the trasmute and stabalize button to switch postions (implimented to prevent botting)
- A user with 1 proficiency in muting will not get experience if they mute a magical item with a rare essence. Both items must be above the minimum required. (see below for values)
- Muting does not work with white items.

Would be cool to know how much points your getting for each step and at which ranks.

Also the way I hear it, is that the point distribution is somewhat more linear ie: lvl 25-26 muting doesn't take much more mutes then lvl 10-11

Also I have a question, will you still be getting points for muting lower tier items at higher muting lvls and if yes is that amount of points the same as when you do it at the reccomended levels.

That is all.

Nice guide.

Or is your current way you displayed information answer my question? Not sure if thats the reccomended items based on difficulty and what not.

From what i could tell... points per mute are not definite. They seem to have a range of prof points per mute per prof per tier per magical lvl ect ect. so in short i don't think that would be feasable and the avg points earned seems to decrease as your prof goes up so it takes much longer per proficiency lets say if you went from prof 5 to prof 20..

i remember i could do a lower level prof (ex prof 5) in about 8 hours and for my last prof (25) it takes about 20 hours. It seems the avg points earned decreases per proficiecy and the mute time increases per proficiency. (i could be wrong, but thats what i have seen)

No, the list of minimum required items are those that give proficiency and those below that will give you neither proficiency points or experience.

Muting Prof: 2
Just tried muting an rare item with a angelic essence and i still got 15exp for it :P so i think it only depends on the essence used

I think I could already do tier 4 mystical at level 8 or 9
so that chart is off a bit

but thanks for this, will be helpfull :)

also: I'm finding that the higher prof lvl you have, the higher your chance of getting full magic lvl from your items when you make essences
with items below what you can mute that is

still get exp
i've used rare tier 5 essences and magical tier5 items to mute and you still get exp, so its depends on the essence you use

and as far as max u can mute..at lvl 21 mute i can do a max of magical lvl 20 items atm
