So my friend plays this at work to kill time, so she finally got me talked into coming on here, and give it a try aswell.. So I've played for a lil time now, but now I can't even kill those monsters in arena at my own level anymore. I take it got to do with the sword I use, that it aint good enough. So here's a question, is it best to just join a group, and just try and pick up a better sword or? I mean I just feel bad about joining a group, and not being able to do any damage at all, I'm not really a good asset to that group then, right?

As of right now, you have no gold, so the best thing you can do is join a group and try and pick up the best gear you can. It will be slow and some people will want you to leave their group because you're not doing a whole lot of damage, but oyu have to start somewhere. Catacombs are good for starting.

Joining a group as a leecher has caused controversy in the forums. In my opinion, it doesn't matter to me. Others have the exact opposite opinion. With that being said, you can solo 1-5, pick up and sell what you can, reroll, and play 1-5 again until you get fg and are able to afford basic items for the next levels.

OR

You can join a group, leech to MQ, hope to pick things up to sell, and then do it all over again.

Thanks alot guys, I just dont wanna play with people who then get mad cause I can't do enough damage, you know? No need for that.. I've tried the market place, no luck yet though, but maybe I should just wait a little and see if some of it get's sold, so I can buy a better sword

Why doesnt your friend helping you out to level up? It's pretty easy to do that in catacombs if he has the right items.

Buying a 1fg sword with a little EE will work wonders for you. Trying to upgrade every 10 levels will be best. I'll send you a little fg to get you started. Best of luck.
